Manaileng Maphike

Manaileng Maphike is a Senior Associate who started her legal career as a candidate attorney in 2011 at a medium-sized boutique law firm in Johannesburg. She has extensive experience in:

  • Litigation and Alternate Dispute Resolution;
  • Commercial law;
  • Entertainment law;
  • Intellectual Property Law;
  • Public Administration;
  • Telecommunications; and
  • Information Technology Law.

Manaileng has represented Politicians including Heads of State and Ministers, Political parties, Government departments, the national Broadcaster, Multinational Companies, Entertainers on both local and international deals as well as entrepreneurs. In addition to the above, Manaileng has participated in the development of training material, facilitation and conducting of training courses on contract law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, entertainment law and introduction to English law to board members, senior managers and junior employees of a multinational Information Technology company as well conducting, facilitating and participating in training for community youth development based organizations and young professional associations especially in terms of contract law. Furthermore, Manaileng has provided training and pro bono legal advisory services to various individuals within the entertainment and creative industry.
